Wereldlab Nijmegen
Wereldlab believes that the world has no centre, but is instead a vast network in which everything influences everything else. They explore the world around them and seek to understand it better through their collections, exhibitions and programming.
Through programmes rooted in the arts, in collaboration with the scientific community and the public, Wereldlab is exploring what the future Wereldmuseum Nijmegen will look like. The aim is to create a World Museum in Nijmegen, a city characterised by a long history of migration and mobility, as a hub in a European network, open to the world and activist in nature. What the museum will look like is still entirely open. What is certain is that the museum will focus on world histories, art and material culture.
The Wereldlab is keen to hear your input! Over the next six months, an extensive programme will be offered, featuring lectures, workshops and collaborations with institutions and associations from the region.
What can you expect?
